Engineered on a rugged magnesium-alloy chassis, the receiver features a high-resolution, sunlight-readable OLED color display on the front panel. This display allows operators to inspect satellite tracking numbers, PDOP, coordinate solution status, radio frequency channels, battery life, and network parameters directly on the machine head without unlocking their field controller.

One of the defining structural differences of the iRTK5 is its top-mounted antenna configuration. By positioning the UHF radio antenna at the apex of the receiver housing rather than hanging beneath the base, the antenna gains an unobstructed line-of-sight radiation path, minimizing body shading and maximizing transmission range over uneven terrain. Furthermore, unlike smaller rovers that omit receiver-level cellular hardware, the iRTK5 incorporates an integrated 4G Netcom module with an accessible machine-head SIM card slot, allowing the unit to act as a standalone CORS base or network rover independently of external mobile hotspots.
